OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE  INSTALLING OR USING YOUR AIR COMPRESSOR UNIT - IT CONTAINS VALUABLE INFORMATION THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE SAFETY INSTRUCTION - RECEIVING - INSTALLATION - USE - AND MAINTENANCE OF THE UNIT

Each Airbrush City air compressor outfit is carefully factory tested and inspected before shipment.  Every attempt is made to ensure a safe and complete shipment of our products.  It is the responsibility of the receiver of the goods to ensure the product has been shipped in full, and the arrival is in suitable condition to avoid expenses being incurred to correct such problems.  In the event a product has arrived with damage, contact Airbrush City immediately.

MECHANICAL Locate the compressor in a clean, dry and well ventilated area. Place the air compressor on a firm and level surface.  The air compressor is designed with heat dissipation fins that allow for proper cooling.  Keep the fins and other parts that collect dust or dirt clean.  A clean compressor runs cooler and provides longer service.

ELECTRICAL It is your responsibility to ensure that the air compressor is electrically connected in a safe and correct manner.  Any electrical work should be carried out by a competent electrician and installed in a way which meets all applicable codes and regulations.

AUTOMATIC ON/OFF FEATURE The compressor is equipped with automatic shut off. Only operates when you are using the airbrush. When you press the airbrush trigger, the compressor automatically turns on as air is needed, when air tank drops below a specified setting. Turns off when the air tank reaches a specified air pressure setting. IMPORTANT NOTE -  Air leaks can cause the compressor to start and shut off when you are not airbrushing. it is always recommend to turn off compressor, when not airbrushing for extended period of time.

ADJUSTING AIR PRESSURE To adjust the air pressure, attach an airbrush and airline to compressor. Start compressor, do not pull trigger on airbrush. When the compressor stops running automatically, you have full back pressure to the air regulator and compressor. To raise or lower the air pressure released to the airbrush, pull the Air Pressure Adjusting Knob up (this unlocks the knob and allows knob to be turned) and turn clockwise direction to increase air pressure, or counter-clockwise to decrease the air pressure. Please note, the pressure gauge is only reads when there is full back pressure to the gauge, you will get no, or very little, reading when you are releasing air through the airbrush. When you have he air pressure you desire coming out the airbrush, push the Air Pressure Adjusting Knob back down, locking it place. This stops any unwanted movement of your air pressure setting.

MOISTURE FILTER After each use, you may want to drain the moisture filter. Turn the drain valve on bottom of filter 1/4 of turn and run compressor for a few seconds. This will release any condensation trapped in moisture filter.

AIR TANK DRAIN PLUG  * WARNING* Failure to release all air pressure from air compressor before removing drain plug can cause serious injury, and or damage.  After several uses, you will want to drain the air tank of any moisture that builds up and collects inside of tank. This varies for each user, do to the amount of usage, and more importantly the weather and humidity conditions of the user. To drain the air tank of any moisture, 1st bleed all air from air tank, be sure air compressor is turned off and unplugged. Set compressor on side, and remove the drain plug on bottom of tank with wrench. Turn compressor upright, and tilt in several different positions until all moisture is drained. Replace plug.

1/8 BSP to 1/4BSP ADAPTER Your compressor comes with a 1/8 to 1/4 BSP thread adapter. Many airbrush airlines manufactures use the standard in the industry 1/8 BSP and 1/4 BSP threads on their airlines. Some manufactures have their own special threads, so you can only use their equipment.  We have supplied this adapter to allow you to connect most airbrush airlines to this compressor.
