Basic Airbrush Tattoo
Technique
- Set you regulator to between 10
to 13lbs for gravity feeds and 12 to 15lbs for siphon feed.
- Too much pressure will cause
the stencil to rise away from the skin.
- Spray the skin with 70% alcohol
and let dry completely.
- Not letting the alcohol dry
will cause the ink to run
- Make sure all of the brushes
with the colors you will be using are operational and free of blockages
before starting the TAT.
- Place the stencil against the
skin and make sure all of the edges are secure to prevent under spray behind
the stencil.
- Position and reposition
until the all parts of the stencil completely cover the skin.
- Aim your brush at a solid part
of the stencil incase of splatter.
- Always press the trigger first
then slowly pull back until you see ink.
- Brush from side to side working
down the stencil in thin coats. 2 coats are the best and will produce the
best color. Thinner coats equal better quality and a longer lasting TAT.
- Never hold the brush still
while spraying ink it will run and dry slower.
- Remove the stencil and powder
the TAT with a talc or any other powder to dry and help last longer.
- Always make sure your customer
leaves with proper care and removal instructions.
