OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING OR USING YOUR AIR COMPRESSOR UNIT - IT CONTAINS VALUABLE INFORMATION THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE SAFETY INSTRUCTION - RECEIVING - INSTALLATION - USE - AND MAINTENANCE OF THE UNIT
MECHANICAL Locate the compressor in a clean, dry and well ventilated area. Place the air compressor on a firm and level surface. The air compressor is designed with heat dissipation fins that allow for proper cooling. Keep the fins and other parts that collect dust or dirt clean. A clean compressor runs cooler and provides longer service.
ELECTRICAL It is your responsibility to ensure that the air compressor is electrically connected in a safe and correct manner. Any electrical work should be carried out by a competent electrician and installed in a way which meets all applicable codes and regulations.
AUTOMATIC ON/OFF FEATURE The compressor is equipped with automatic shut off. Only operates when you are using the airbrush. When you press the airbrush trigger, the compressor automatically turns on as air is needed, when air tank drops below a specified setting. Turns off when the air tank reaches a specified air pressure setting. IMPORTANT NOTE - Air leaks can cause the compressor to start and shut off when you are not airbrushing. it is always recommend to turn off compressor, when not airbrushing for extended period of time. ADJUSTING AIR PRESSURE To adjust the air pressure, attach an airbrush and airline to compressor. Start compressor, do not pull trigger on airbrush. When the compressor stops running automatically, you have full back pressure to the air regulator and compressor. To raise or lower the air pressure released to the airbrush, pull the Air Pressure Adjusting Knob up (this unlocks the knob and allows knob to be turned) and turn clockwise direction to increase air pressure, or counter-clockwise to decrease the air pressure. Please note, the pressure gauge is only reads when there is full back pressure to the gauge, you will get no, or very little, reading when you are releasing air through the airbrush. When you have he air pressure you desire coming out the airbrush, push the Air Pressure Adjusting Knob back down, locking it place. This stops any unwanted movement of your air pressure setting. MOISTURE FILTER After each use, you may want to drain the moisture filter. Turn the drain valve on bottom of filter 1/4 of turn and run compressor for a few seconds. This will release any condensation trapped in moisture filter. AIR TANK DRAIN VALVE We suggest after every extended use to open the air tank drain valve on bottom of tank, and drain any moisture that has built up in air tank do to condensation and heat. Doing so will extend the life of your compressor, and make your airbrushing jobs easier to control moisture that can be driven into your paint jobs in high humidity areas, and extensive use. 1/8 BSP to 1/4BSP ADAPTER Your compressor comes with a 1/8 to 1/4 BSP thread adapter. Many airbrush airlines manufactures use the standard in the industry 1/8 BSP and 1/4 BSP threads on their airlines. Some manufactures have their own special threads, so you can only use their equipment. We have supplied this adapter to allow you to connect most airbrush airlines to this compressor. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTION IMPROPER OPERATION OR MAINTENANCE OF THIS PRODUCT COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE.
RISK OF FIRE DO NOT SMOKE WHILE SPRAYING OR SPRAY WHERE SPARK OR FLAME IS PRESENT. ARC PARTS KEEP COMPRESSOR AT LEAST 12 - 18 INCHES AWAY FROM SPRAYING AREA AND ALL EXPLOSIVE VAPORS.
RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK DISCONNECT COMPRESSOR FROM ELECTRICAL SUPPLY CIRCUIT BEFORE SERVICING. DO NOT EXPOSE COMPRESSOR TO RAIN OR OPERATE IN A WET AREA NEVER USE THE AIR COMPRESSOR WITHOUT CONNECTION TO A PROPERLY GROUNDED OUTLET WITH THE SPECIFIED VOLTAGE AND FUSE PROTECTION. THE COMPRESSOR MUST BE LOCATED A MINIMUM OF 12-18 INCHES FROM ANY SOURCE OF POTENTIALLY EXPLOSIVE VAPORS. IMPROPER GROUNDING CAN RESULT IN ELECTRICAL SHOCK |
